On certain 4WD vehicles with automatic transmission, some washers on the spider gears in the front differential are defective in manufacturing. If left unfixed, they may get damaged causing abnormal noises, and in the worst case, the vehicle fails to accelerate normally and becomes stalled.

Correction: 

The serial/lot number on the engine should be checked, and if its prefix is between G03-G10 (March 1996 - October 1996), the washers should be replaced with non-defective ones. Also, if the washers are damaged, the automatic transmission should be replaced with a new one.

yellow paint on the top part of the body panel (on the front of the suspension) that is located at the right hand side of the engine compartment
