For catalyst mufflers, a crack may occur on the welded part of the exhaust inlet pipe and the muffler, because the muffler structure for the exhaust inlet pipe is improper, and also because rigidity of the bracket securing the exhaust pipe between the engine and the muffler is insufficient and amount of the vibration-proof rubber on the bracket is also insufficient. If left unfixed, exhaust noise may exceed the standard.
Correction:
The catalyst muffler should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit, and also, the bracket with vibration-proof rubber should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit.
