On certain vehicles, the striker attached to the bonnet, which is a part of the bonnet locking system, is not properly welded, and therefore, the welded section may partly come off. If this problem is left unattended, the striker could separate from the bonnet, in which case the bonnet could open while the vehicle is in motion.
Correction:
The bonnet should be replaced with a non-defective one.
